Breakdown of admission fees

Guided discovery tour of the reserve :

“‘Long-distance migratory birds” visit, into the heart of the salt marshes, bring the family and discover the biodiversity: Adults 8 €, Concessions 5€ – 3 hours

“‘Short-distance migratory birds” visit, to discover Birds and Migration, a combination of understanding scientific research (bird ringing) and appreciating the poetry of wild birds : Adults 6 €, Concessions 5€ – 1 hour

Madame Island, nature and history combined; Adults 12€, Concessions 5 €

Free for under 6’s.

Concessions: people seeking employment, people with disabilities, students, schoolchildren, members of the LPO.


Traditional family visits

Trekking games « L’envol de Marceline » and « Wanted Linné »-kit hire for 1 hour: 10€

Magic moment, creative workshop, half hour session: 2€

Sunset ramble, enjoy the evening song of tree frogs, blackbirds and other songbirds, take a twilight stroll to see the evening from a different perspective. According to accessibility, follow different footpaths: 5€

On the Ile d’Oléron : learn all about coastal waders and what the nature reserve is aiming to achieve. 4 different meeting places.  Please call for more information.  Free.

Nature Centre opening hours– 2021

Outside of the times given below, please contact us.  During the activities, the reception area may be closed to the general public. Health and Safety is a priority with us.  Thank you for your understanding. 

  • From 1st April to 30st June 2021, every day (except Saturday) from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
  • July and August 2021 open every day, weekends and holidays included from 2.30pm till
  • From 1 st September to 7 st November 2021: open from 2.30pm till every day (except Saturdays).


Opening times for Footpaths

Sentier des Tannes footpath: open all year round from 7.00 am till 8.00 pm (bicycles and dogs on leads welcomed)

Sentier des Sablières footpath: open all year round from 7.00 am till 8.00 pm (pedestrians only – no dogs allowed)

Sentier des Lais de mer footpath: open all year round from 7.00 am till 8.00 pm (pedestrians only – no dogs permitted)

Sentier des Polders footpath: from 1st September to 31st January from 12.00 noon till 7.00pm and from 1st February to 31st August, from 7.00 am till 8.00 pm (pedestrians only – no dogs permitted).

Sentier de la Citadelle à la pointe des doux footpath: Open all year round(pedestrians only – no dogs allowed).
